Thursday night

Thanks so much for all the kind words from people who saw the Wednesday Oprah Show. We are relieved and just so pleased that it has been received positively. Our goals of honoring Eric and of helping people who are suffering loss have been so abundantly granted. We are very grateful. And we are so proud of Ryan. He's helped many, many people with his words.

To those folks who have discovered this blog and are reaching out, we want to help.

Click here for a link to a national website with information on grief support in your area.

Click here for a list of helpful books from the Hospice of Waterville Area website ( Thank you Dale and all...)

Find people who have walked the walk; a doctor, pastor, priest or rabbi, a counselor, co-worker, friend or family member, a Hospice Volunteer or Compassionate Friends group. You don't have to do this alone. In fact, you can't.

Be gentle with yourselves, Take it one day at a time. Have hope.

Thank you so much for sharing your story on Oprah. For some reason, I was captivated by your family and your story and have not been able to get it out of my mind since the show. I love the way you all go about life. You have such an inspiring spirit. Thanks for being willing to share a bit of yourselves, your story and your message of hope with all of us. I am inspired by your true sense of hope, peace, joy and faith. Even though I am only 24 and have no way to empathize with your grief, I am thankful for the story and the message. Thank you!

Hi Connie and Glen-
Although I missed the Oprah show that you were featured on, I am reading Elizabeth Lesser's book "Broken Open" and felt compelled by your story. Reading your words, I wanted to find some way to reach out and let you know how much your story is helping others, whether it is a loss, or just getting through difficult times. Thank you for sharing. All the best to you and your family.
