Memorial Day Weekend, 2008

Busy weekend... Connie's mom was here for the long weekend and visitors included Kate & Ryan, Anne and Mary Jo, Chris, Kori, Nolan and Kera, Mike and Curly, and John, Lynne and Ida... Wicked busy.

The new swing chair got a work out. If you get it going fast enough the bugs don't land...

We headed over to Day's Store to pick up some meat for the grill. Ryan out performed... as usual. Best pork chops ever...

I heard the roar of Harley engines in the driveway and for the life of me, thought Peter Fonda and Dennis Hooper from Easy Rider fame were coming through the door. Great to see you guys...

The quiet here just kind of settles in your bones, maybe help Ryan's bones mend quicker. Nice...

Free will can be interpreted as the struggle to self-actualize—to determine who you are as an individual and make the conscious decisions to govern your own life. But, that’s not how society works. We have become too dependent upon each other for our own survival and prosperity that true individualism and free will can and will ever exist. Free will must never exist within a society. The simple cliché too many chiefs and not enough Indians is a clear depiction on how society works. There is a ruling class and a working class. The ruling class is made of a selected few. The working class is everybody else. The best evidence for the pursuit of free will is to be neither the working class nor the ruling class. The ruling class and the working class are a symbiotic relationship. They are ruled by one another. One cannot survive without the other. If the workers don’t work than the rulers will fall. If the rulers fail to lead then the workers will disperse to find new masters. They are one in the same, so to write.

Therefore, the pursuit of free will does not exist within the confines of society but in the outskirts of society. Isolationism is the key to free will. Become totally dependent upon yourself and no ruling class will market your free will. You will be the master of your fate/the captain of your soul. "
